These sessions are for students (grades 7-12+) who are taking a course or using a specific curriculum and need support. They will share the materials they are working on and the tutor will help explain the topics and provide practice opportunities.

Group Sessions (Tutor Led) - Middle/High School
$30/hour (Bundle Option: 10 sessions/$250)
In these sessions of 5-8 students (grades 7-12+) the tutor will select a topic for group practice and review. Students will be grouped according to proficiency (beginner, intermediate, advanced). Minimum 5 students for the group rate. You can create the group or we can add your student to an on-going group if we currently have one.

Conversation Practice - Middle/High School
$90/5 -30 minute sessions or $150/ 10 - 30 minute sessions)
In these sessions students (grades 7-12+) will meet with a native speaker for conversation practice through our partner company, LinguaMeeting. The topics can be selected by the student or proposed by the conversation coach and can be curated by Lux Mundi Learning and tailored to student needs. There is minimum English used in these sessions and they are not intended to “teach” grammar and vocabulary. Rather, the goal of these sessions is to provide a safe and supportive environment to practice authentic conversations with a native speaker. The conversation coaches are trained to engage with speakers of different proficiencies and will guide the conversation using images, background screens, screen share, and text via Zoom.
Eligible for reimbursement but not direct pay. We can assist with the required documents.
Consultation Session - Choice Navigator
$125/1 hour
In this session, a certified Choice Navigator will meet with you to discuss your student’s language learning journey and will help you map out the best route to success for his/her language-learning goals. Professional advice will be given on language programs/courses, timing, resources and support, and study abroad/exchange opportunities. General academic advice can also be provided on Dual Enrollment, CLEP exams, personalized education plans, contracted public school services, and more. Experiences: Live Cultural Explorations / Virtual Field Trips
$50/ unlimited access / semester (typically 30-35 are offered per semester)
In these Experiences students (middle/high school) will attend a live cultural exploration via Zoom through our partner organization, LinguaMeeting. In these sessions, a native Speaker will invite participating students (large enrollments) to explore a cultural topic in real time. This will include multi-media slides, live demonstrations, and interaction. Students do not need to turn on their webcam and can participate via the chat, through on screen polls, and/or through a Kahoot quiz. The experiences are very diverse: a walking tour of a Guatemalan zoo, a cooking demonstration of Venezuelan Arepas, a live acoustic guitar concert from Spain, a dance demonstration from Peru…etc. The times and topics vary. Premium Package
$950 (12 one-on-one tutor-led sessions/ 12 thirty-minute conversation sessions/ unlimited access to Live Cultural Explorations)
This 12-week comprehensive package is intended for middle/high school students who want to most effectively advance their proficiency. This combination will provide the equivalent (or better) of a traditional semester-long program. Each week the student should attend one one-on-one tutor-led session, one thirty-minute conversation session, and one Experience - Live Cultural Exploration.

Yes! All of our tutors meet the minimum requirements to be a part-time “elective tutor”. We are happy to facilitate your reimbursement process by providing you with your tutor’s credentials, full name, educational benefit form, and a detailed invoice for service.

Yes! Lux Mundi Learning, LLC is an approved service provider on the EMA marketplace. However, not all part-time tutors and/or services are available through the EMA marketplace. All Lux Mundi Learning Services are eligible for Step-up reimbursements, but not all are eligible for direct-pay through EMA marketplace.
Lux Mundi Learning is committed to advocating for parental rights to educational opportunities and is leveraging all available assets to petition EMA to reconsider its overly-restrictive policies that have prevented some services/tutors to be offered directly on the EMA Marketplace. We will keep you updated.
